061kv Steeltape Armored Power Cables Industrial Infrastructure Guide
Steel-tape armored power cables rated at 0.6/1 kV, commonly designated YJV22, are used in distribution networks where mechanical protection and electrical stability are critical. Their construction is intended to withstand soil pressure, ground movement and other physical stresses in demanding installation environments. The main technical specifications, application conditions and compliance requirements are set out below.
The 0.6/1 kV steel-tape armored cable series is designed for AC power distribution systems with a rated voltage Uo/U not exceeding 0.6/1 kV. Its structure is configured to address demanding physical conditions while maintaining electrical performance.
| Item | Technical description |
|---|---|
| Rated voltage | 0.6/1 kV |
| Conductor material | Class 1/2 annealed bare copper, solid or stranded |
| Insulation material | Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) |
| Armor type | Steel-tape armor (STA) |
| Sheath material | Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) |
| Cross-sectional area range | 1.5 mm² to 630 mm² |
| Standards | IEC 60502, BS 7870, GB/T 12706 |
The cable is intended for installation scenarios that impose elevated mechanical stress. The steel-tape armor supports reliable operation in the following conditions:
- Direct burial: The cable can withstand mechanical stress from soil pressure and surface movement.
- Complex terrain: It is suitable for slopes, moving ground and vertical or inclined installation.
- Multi-environment use: It supports indoor and outdoor installation and maintains stability in damp environments.
On thermal performance, the maximum conductor temperature is 90°C during normal operation. The cable can withstand 130°C in emergency conditions and up to 250°C under short-circuit conditions lasting no more than five seconds.
The series is produced in line with international and national standards including IEC 60502, IEC 60228 and GB/T 12706.1-2008. It also carries ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 system certifications, together with CCC, CE and CB market-access certifications.
Custom variants can be specified for flame-retardant, fire-resistant and low-smoke zero-halogen performance, subject to production design and the requirements defined before procurement.
